Intro:-

 

If there is any resounding evidence that all night drinking sessions are not a good idea then this into is final proof! Late Friday evening John, Doug and Dave came up with a genius idea of putting the ILP into the film Aliens and with a Sunday recording date set all seemed fine. However, after a heavy weekend and a severe lack of ideas Dave pulled the plug 4 hours into the session after the bad ideas of having Britney hair attacking….alas we instead used us talking about porn and Tyler’s sister dating a porn director or something…why change a formula that works?

 

Song 1 – The View – Face For The Radio.

 

John chose this song and it was supposed to be a pop at several members of The ILP-alas the editing fucked up and Dave could not be arsed to sort it all out-shame…but yeah they are a new up and coming band and you might have heard their song “I’ve had the same jeans on for fours Days now…�. Well this song is nice and right so I’m sure we will be hearing much more form this band.

Link 1 –

 

We begin the link with a contingency plan, quite literally. Dave handed John the dictionary in order to provide us with some material and he read it for the rest of the link. We should really put this in perspective as Dave did 6 weeks sober (well sort of as he confesses) and this was all recorded on the morning after Dave’s retox party…with some hair of the dog for support so we are all feeling a tiny bit worse for wear! Tyler can’t understand Dave’s second phase and Dave feels might proud of himself.

 

We then divert our attention back to the dictionary and look up the meaning of “poof� and Debbie declares that they are making up words to keep people buying the dictionary-who said that we were not educational. And hey lets throw some dirty words and gay bashing in! Tyler moves on to explain about his wank in America before Debbie declares that she saw pussy last night-both drinks I’m afraid. This all came about because we might well give examples of British slang.

 

Dougs seven day challenge-It’s not really explained particularly well but to put it simply Doug is going to eat raw fruit and veg for a week to see if we can slim the fatty down ;-) Only joking Doug we love ya figure, but no seriously he is trying this out as we speak I hope and we will report back next time-see we did do something that we said that we would!

 

Song 2 – Regina Spektor – That Time

 

Or Vigina Inspecktor as some might well say. Anywho this Russian/New Yorker is an amazingly talented pianaist and mulit instrumentalist who sings deep songs with swearing and drugs and love and all sorts of things silly. Basically she rocks and is very very different. This is not atypical song but one of our faves…enjoy.

Science, science, science is golden! Yes indeed it is and Housemate returns for the first time in 2007 and his third and most explosive experiment so far! Yes this time we had to spend about 10 minutes hunting down the cat so we did not exploderise it. Hiding behind our specially designed shield, a piece of the broken fence that blew down in the wind, Dave and Housemate hid whilst Tyler lit the “experiment�. Tyler EVEN had gloves this time but you can see form the pictures and video below what happened and I’ll let the podcast explain the rest…..

Song 3 – Nostalgia 77 - Seven Nation Army

 

This song is amazing. It shows what a good song writer Jack White actually is as demonstrated in the Raconteurs where he also shows that he can play. Shame that he had to drag his sister around for so long but-hey ho the crap drummer is gone. Anyways this is a deeply funky dark smooth version that seriously kicks ass. Unfortunately as the song is chosen by Tyler we know nothing about it…we think that is the band name so get researching if you would like to find out more!

 

 

Link 3 –

 

In yet another guest filled show Shireen calls us from Hong Kong to talk about Chinese New Year-however whilst we were waiting for her to call we talked some bollocks. Unfortunately when she does call the connection is not the best so she has trouble understanding us-so the interview is a tad slow. Anyways lots of info. About Chinese New Year so enjoy!

 

Tyler then asks if one could inject men as a drug would you which receives a resounding yes form John and Debbie-I’m not sure how we got on to this but I have a feeling that I had left the studio at that point.

 

Well freebies-exciting things and stuff-yes Tyler tries to give away many free things, basically hes giving away all his crap. We tried to cut it all out but he cried so thee is some but if you want some random shit then get in contact or you can have stickers and badgers! ROCK!

 

Song 4 – Guano Apes – Diokhan

 

Well for a song chosen by Dave not much is really known about this band. They are form Germany and no longer exist with no myspace and no website. They do rock and their music is still around if you wanna check it out. The most info that we could find is on Wikipedia below so check that out and then head to Amazon to buy buy buy!

Link 4 –

 

The link opens with Debbies voice mail message which you will be able to hear by calling her company 247 electrical-I won’t give the number here but I’m sure you could hunt them down online and get a great deal on an electrical appliance-so plug done! Dave then plays an impromptu game of 20 questions with John by sticking a post it note on his forehead. It’s ultimately witty and provides a good link for Tyler to get into the correspondent.

 

Thanks to everyone for our lovely valentine’s messages and I can’t be arsed to list them all so you will just have to listen. Debbie tells everyone what happened at the actual retox party-Dave thought that this had been covered but alas apparently not. Yes Dave was playing air guitar by himself at 3 in the morning-joy!

 

Tyler then takes it upon himself to rant-it’s either about Harrods or posh people but eh never quite made it clear. Maybe it’s a combination but long story short he tried to break a world record but it was cancelled after the locals of Kensington complained!

 

Lastly Debbie brought tickets to a Klaxions Gig in Glasgow. Not wanting to put them on ebay she will sell them to the highest bidder. This really is turning into a marketing bring and buy sale thing. Don’t worry it will stop!
