Song 1 – Be Your Own Pet – Thresher’s Flail

“Debut album from Nashville punk band of tender years, who were snapped up by ultra-hip UK indie XL after their incendiary performances at SXSW 2005. Their sound, a raucous, untutored blast of garage punk with angular guitar riffs and off-kilter rhythms, topped with Abegg's caterwauling vocals, has seen them compared to the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The album includes the singles 'Adventure' and the 59-second long 'Let's Get Sandy'â€?

Link One:- ILP Wars! Tyler works in a board games store and Dave is a huge fan of board games-well he likes the odd game of monopoly. It was decided that in order for Tyler to grasp a better understanding of his job and to appeal to the geeks that a random game would be selected and battle to make commence! So yeah every so often a board game will eb played the loser made to look like a fool and a fullish battle report. This week we played Axis and Allies-D Day Invasion.

So The Metro…Dave and Tyler’s daily of choice simply because it is free! “Yesterdays news today. Earlier in the year Dave had a letter published due to some idiot wring crap about the licence fee. Our challenge is for us to try and get as many letters published as possible so read and look out for our cunningly disguised names.

If you have any suggestions for random topics then email them in!

Song 2 – Gogol Bordello – I Would Never Wanna Be Young Again

â€œWhat a fantastic find. A band fronted by ukrainian refugees and now based in New York - so think gypsy, stick in a huge dollop of colourful punk and then throw around circus and a bit of art school - some people have compared them to the pogues, manu chaos, les negresses vertes or the clash, and certainly if you like these bands you should like gogol bordello, but this is faster and once you've heard the CD you'll think these other bands are laid back. Great tracks include start wearing purple, i would never wanna be young again, avenue b, dogs were barking and Mishto! You'll not regret buying this CD so go on click that buy button now.â€?

Will be appearing on “Later With Jools Holland on Friday 16th June BBC 2 late!

Dave and Tyler talk about all the co-presenters that will be introduced over the coming shows. All will pop in once in a while to present various things so that we can build up a big family within The ILP and hear less of us. Less is MORE as I always like to say.

The new feature, well to be fair they are all new, is introduced which involves us trying to get people together-more information will follow in coming shows as we at The ILP are trying to spread love and tagged in is a tale from Amsterdam. Leave us a message of love on our Myspace page!

Top Ten. Yes each show we will have a top 10 or random items, well hopefully. One was not quite prepared for this week-doh! Tyler talks about badges and the box of prizes for our competition winners! Oh yes the excitement rock!

Song 3 – Nine Inch Nails – Into The Void

“Trent Reznor's brainchild, Nine Inch Nails, has had a lasting influence on the alternative rock scene ever since the band rocketed to critical acclaim with PRETTY HATE MACHINE. 1999's THE FRAGILE is a double-CD that boasts 23 tracks of pure energy and creativity. Reznor said of THE FRAGILE, "I wanted to try new things, fully utilising the studio while putting more effort into melody and structure". From song one, it's clear that he's accomplished just this. Tracks like "Intothe Void" are replete with sounds and textures that no NIN album to this point contained.
THE FRAGILE took more thantwo years to put together and includes songs bursting with melody and life. There are graceful and haunting tracks like"La Mer" and "The Great Below" and songs of despair and hopelessness like "Somewhat Damaged" and "No You Don't". Other highlights include "Starfuckers, Inc"., "Where Is Everybody", and "The Day the World Went Away".
