<itunes:summary>The ILP Podcast &#195;&#162;&#226;&#172;&#226; a mix of great music, from Mongolian Monks, to Muse to The Frutallis to Random Japanese covers of Backstreet Boys, and random chat. Started by Dave and Tyler back in May we have now been joined by regulars Debbie and John as well as having a cast of thousands of beautiful and sexy contributors. <description><![CDATA[<font size="2"><p>Howdy,</p>
<p>Before I post would you mind checking this please-just change anything. Fanks.</p>
<p>The ILP is back! Two months late but even after having everything stolen<font color="#0000ff" size="2"><font color="#0000ff" size="2">,</font></font><font size="2"> we return. You will have to do much more to keep us awayâactually please don't</font><font color="#0000ff" size="2"><font color="#0000ff" size="2">,</font></font><font size="2"> as it was really annoying and I'm not sure if I can do it again. Anyways the studios have moved so you will have to find them.Anyways we proudly present Show 58 which is a little rough around the edges. Whilst we re-develop all the sounds we are using some old ones which survived. Enough of the old and on with the newâAnnie returns with a special appeal and we have missed her! Nicola, John, Tyler and Dave were all present and we explain in full what happened. There was far too much rammed in for me to tell you now but it is a modern classic and the usual great music and all.Missed you,The ILPx </font></p>

<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">The Credit Crunch finally hit The ILP which meant we decided to fire <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> for a week-because he smells and there wasnât enough pizza to go around. Also we should apologise for the sound quality of recent shows-itâs improved here but there are a few jumps and crackles. Itâs a hardware fault which we are working to fix.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">So yes in this show we have some great music and much thought provoking chat. Dave reveals how he tried and failed to chop off his fingers, Debbie finds she ainât quite as cool as she used to be and John surfs the internet. Along with all the usual features and randomness. Did we tell you the songs are really good! Oh yes we didâIâm going to resign from my position of promoting this now. Listen Love Enjoy,</font></p>

<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">It was a challenge to try and top the pirate show but I think we did it. We created a sparkly jingle with bleeps and clicks and voices to confuse the senses and put you off balance for the rest for the show. This time, we find out about Debbieâs heroics, John talks about near death experience, find out about Daveâs âdateâ instigated by Tyler and Tylerâwell heâs there. Dan returns for his film section and speaks about the London Film festival and about what you should be watching this year! Also is correspondence where we clear up Daveâs garbled misunderstanding of Joseâs message and have a few blasts form the past!</font></p>

<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Wow we have finically reached 50 and who would have thought? Not I especially after listening to the first few shows. Anyways it is a time for ILP celebration as we reach this landmark and what better way to do it than to do a special based around International Speak Like A Pirate Day (which is this Friday 19<sup>th</sup>). Se expect pirate jokes, songs puns and all the ILP kids doing our best to speak like a pirate! Also there is the usual chit chat, your letters and a rant.</font></p>

<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB"><font size="3">The ILP Show 49 nearly began in a similar way to Show 1 but with Shireen and Dan onboard we quickly escaped the board games and moved on to what really matters. This time we recorded at West India Quay where Shireen was Dragon Boat Racing. The show also includes second part of the second part of our Summer Season of Science special, with some mind reading and lots of Tequila and Anna! We finally feature the Cheese songs which have been on hold for a long, long time and there is an exclusive interview with the Smoke Fairies on a farm in Shadwell and of course we play their new song. In addition to this there is of course all the usual great music and come fun interviews with people we met whilst out recording which means itâs one tightly packed show!</font></span></p>

<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">This is the second show recorded without Dave and as a consequence many a pop shot was again taken but thatâs not the selling point. The Cheese song finally made itâs debut, the chocolate <place w:st="on">Labradors</place> didnât so Debbie said she would marry anyone who could tell us what the story was. <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> arrived late and for the first time we had a song clash and John was there and then was not and returned again. <link>http://theilp.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=316282#</link>
<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">The date finally arrived and when it did <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> and James bother wondered why they had offered to be so kind and Dave and Jamie started wondering why! Yes this is the Reading Half marathon show. Featuring live commentary and a post run reflection from the whole ILP crew and a show packed full of songs tenuously linked to running! We also have a rant from Debbie, the usual correspondence, Zara makes a guest appearance, Dave realises once again that he is the only singleton on the show and we help Debbie desperately search for a career along with the usual randomness.</font></p>

We decided on air not to repeat this in 2008-but it is interesting listening. So expect lots of harvest themed songs, features and discussions! We had an exclusive song written for us by Kerry, a trails producer! Debbie tells us all about her adventures. We launch a new competition. Jamie shows us all how to keep fit by taking us circuit training after Dave revealed he had signed up to a half marathon. All the usual correspondence, rant and we introduce our first oracle section! Plus lotâs of randomness and great music.</font></span></p>

However it was not all bad as </span><city><place><span lang="EN-GB">Tyler</span></place></city><span lang="EN-GB"> managed to impress a girl and the groom with his dancingâ</span></font></p>

Without going into too much detail this experiment is slightly different as it is <span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Psychologmological. <title>The ILP - Show 16 12/03/07</title>
<link>http://theilp.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=191595#</link>
<description><![CDATA[<p><font size="3">The ILP Show 16</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Introduction â </font></p>
<p><font size="3"><city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> did a very hyper intro this week and did it very well although he forgot to interview Doug, bless! Oh then he forgets the songâthe fool!</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Song 1 â Deftones â Hole In The Earth </font></p>
<p><font size="3">At time of press Dave was sposed to be going to see the Deftoens but due to <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Chino</place></city> developing nodules on his vocal chords (which everyone seems to be getting the tour was cancelled. Any who, it still rocks and check out the new album which this single is from and you wonât be disappointed.</font></p>
<p><font size="3">&lt;a href=&quot;</font><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keasbey_Nights" target="_blank"><font color="#0066cc" size="3">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keasbey_Nights</font></a><font size="3">&quot;&gt;Myspace&lt;/a&gt; <br/>&lt;a href=&quot;<span><a href="http://www.deftones.com/6/index.html/" target="_blank"><font color="#0066cc">http://www.deftones.com/6/index.html/</font></a></span>&quot;&gt;Website&lt;/a&gt;. </font></p>
<p><font size="3">Link 1 â </font></p>
<p><font size="3">With Annie joining us in the studio and no one being hangover this was a much more upbeat than the usual show. John was sandwiched between Annie and Debbie 9what a waste) and <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> between Dave and Doug. Dave tries to talk street, poshly, before Debbie insults half the SE Laundon population and we discuss <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city>âs heritage. We then move on to <country-region w:st="on">Kent</country-region> and <place w:st="on">Maidstone</place> Studiosâ</font></p>
<p><font size="3">The porn bell returns as Annie rushes into telling us a story about porn-shock horror-Japanese anime porn or something. Doug seems to know far much more than he shouldâ</font></p>
<p><font size="3">So then itâs time to cover what we have been up to for the past few weeks and Debbie tells us a story about how she went clubbing, got drunk and was dancing on her kitchen table at 6am Sunday morning. See things have changed so much. There is then a debate about sleeping in the bath and someone used to sleep in the bath as a child-yes we are contacting the authorities as I type.</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Dave tries to justify his bad introductions but we blame Stuart for having a life-what a bastard! </font></p>
<p><font size="3">Tyler has done some preparing and brought mystery ingredients to cook with-we chose four and selected, Orange Jelly, Coffee Beer, Cheese and Sausagesâ.we find out what he created in the forth link! BUT here is a handy film if you would like to find out how the dish was made, Doug and Tyler here ye go! </font></p>
<p><font size="3">&lt;object width=&quot;425&quot; height=&quot;350&quot;&gt;&lt;param name=&quot;movie&quot; value=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/HOT3G1uVCZI&quot;&gt;&lt;/param&gt;&lt;param name=&quot;wmode&quot; value=&quot;transparent&quot;&gt;&lt;/param&gt;&lt;embed src=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/HOT3G1uVCZI&quot; type=&quot;application/x-shockwave-flash&quot; wmode=&quot;transparent&quot; width=&quot;425&quot; height=&quot;350&quot;&gt;&lt;/embed&gt;&lt;/object&gt;</font></p>
<p><font size="3">In this rather packed link John talks some common sense to Debbie and Dave-itâs not completely successful but itâs slightly productive. If you have an issue that you would like John to tackle then get in touch!</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Song 2 â <span>Dr Suman Biswas and Dr Adam Kay</span> â Fitness To Practice </font></p>
<p><font size="3">John has chosen an act which once featured as an introduction. They are the kids that sang the âLondon Undergroundâ? song. They were students at the time and now worryingly are practicing doctorsâbut go to their website and buy their cd!</font></p>
<p><font size="3">&lt;a href=&quot;</font><a href="http://www.fridaytowers.com/fitness/" target="_blank"><font size="3">http://www.fridaytowers.com/fitness/</font></a><font size="3">&quot;&gt;Website&lt;/a&gt; </font></p>
<p><font size="3">Link 2 â </font></p>
<p><font size="3">Dougâs seven day challenge-well we got someone to do one of them.</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Doug was challenged in the last show to eat noting that had been cooked for a week. This basically meant he was stuck with raw veg and fruit for a week. He did successfully complete the task mainly because the pizza he thought he had was lost soooooooooooooooo instead he was stuck with the veg. So yeah hear how he got along-but donât try this without professional help as Doug did. Yes he had Dave to point and laughâ </font></p>
<p><font size="3">After having a quick chat with Annie, who is Johnâs housemate, in the pub about her implant in her arm Dave decided that it was imperative she came into The ILP to discuss it and it would also allow us to talk about contraception. You know creating a positive vibe for once. Annie basically has a contraceptive implant which means that she canât get knocked up for three whole years-donât have unprotected sex unless you trust your partner or whatever-and she talks us through some of the side effects.</font></p>
<p><font size="3"><city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> then did some research and brings us some contraceptive tips form the past-again kids we donât really recommend them. However if you do wanna try them out let us know how they work!</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Song 3 â Annieâs friend form <place w:st="on">Sheffield</place>.</font></p>
<p><font size="3">We let Annie pick a song and its really good, however, she calls him by a different name and didnât give me any info. to put up!</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Link 3 â </font></p>
<p><font size="3">Debbie reviews two bands this week and both are really rocking. Sheâs not given me some reviews to put up so I donât really want to take her place so Iâl let her voice and music dot eh talking! So the first song is Chik Budo and the second has Buttonhead and they all have lots of gigs coming up. Check the myspace pages on the links below!</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Song 4 â </font></p>
<p><font size="3">Chick Budo â Science Boy -&lt;a href=&quot;<span>http://www.myspace.com/chikbudo</span>&quot;&gt;Myspace Page&lt;/a&gt; <br/>Buttonhead â Boyâs in the Ball Pool&lt;a href=&quot;http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&amp;friendid=6619481&quot;&gt;Myspace page&lt;/a&gt;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Link 4 â </font></p>
<p><font size="3">Well the first half is taken up by an exciting competition which is a bit dangerious for <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> but with out giving too much away here is a vid we madeâ</font></p>
<p><font size="3">&lt;object width=&quot;425&quot; height=&quot;350&quot;&gt;&lt;param name=&quot;movie&quot; value=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/tSVSvxZdS_0&quot;&gt;&lt;/param&gt;&lt;param name=&quot;wmode&quot; value=&quot;transparent&quot;&gt;&lt;/param&gt;&lt;embed src=&quot;http://www.youtube.com/v/tSVSvxZdS_0&quot; type=&quot;application/x-shockwave-flash&quot; wmode=&quot;transparent&quot; width=&quot;425&quot; height=&quot;350&quot;&gt;&lt;/embed&gt;&lt;/object&gt;</font></p>
<p><font size="3">So with that done <city w:st="on">Tyler</city> wades through the correspondence and there is not really much to talk through as it would just be repeating what <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> said! We seem to have scared some people away as itâs all gone very quietâtho we have been busy to talk.</font></p>
<p><font size="3">If you want badges, stickers or free crap then contact us and we will get around to it eventually. The next recording is on a Sunday so we will get lot as things done donât worry!</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Right so there is some padding before Tyler and Doug bring the food back in. John talks a bit of TV and then the tasting. It looks disgusting but it doesnât taste too bad. Then everyone finishes the thing off before Debbie realises that her Gran used to make a similar dish-more child abuse?</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Song 5 â Armando Travoli â Sessomato? </font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Chosen by <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> and again no information to provideâsorry!</font></p>

<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&lt;a href=&quot;http://media.libsyn.com/media/theilp/The_ILP_-_Show_15.mp3&quot;&gt;The ILP Show 15&lt;/a&gt;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&lt;a href=&quot;http://theilp.com&quot;&gt;Website â theilp.com&lt;/a&gt;.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Intro:-</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">If there is any resounding evidence that all night drinking sessions are not a good idea then this into is final proof! Late Friday evening John, Doug and Dave came up with a genius idea of putting the ILP into the film Aliens and with a Sunday recording date set all seemed fine. However, after a heavy weekend and a severe lack of ideas Dave pulled the plug 4 hours into the session after the bad ideas of having Britney hair attackingâ.alas we instead used us talking about porn and Tylerâs sister dating a porn director or somethingâwhy change a formula that works?</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Song 1 â The View â Face For The Radio.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">John chose this song and it was supposed to be a pop at several members of The ILP-alas the editing fucked up and Dave could not be arsed to sort it all out-shameâbut yeah they are a new up and coming band and you might have heard their song âIâve had the same jeans on for fours Days nowââ?. Well this song is nice and right so Iâm sure we will be hearing much more form this band.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.myspace.com/dryburgh&quot;&gt;My Space&lt;/a&gt;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.theviewareonfire.com&quot;&gt;Website&lt;/a&gt;.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Link 1 â</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">We begin the link with a contingency plan, quite literally. Dave handed John the dictionary in order to provide us with some material and he read it for the rest of the link. We should really put this in perspective as Dave did 6 weeks sober (well sort of as he confesses) and this was all recorded on the morning after Daveâs retox partyâwith some hair of the dog for support so we are all feeling a tiny bit worse for wear! <city><place>Tyler</place></city> canât understand Daveâs second phase and Dave feels might proud of himself.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">We then divert our attention back to the dictionary and look up the meaning of âpoofâ? and Debbie declares that they are making up words to keep people buying the dictionary-who said that we were not educational. And hey lets throw some dirty words and gay bashing in! <city><place>Tyler</place></city> moves on to explain about his wank in <country-region><place>America</place></country-region> before Debbie declares that she saw pussy last night-both drinks Iâm afraid. This all came about because we might well give examples of British slang.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Dougs seven day challenge-Itâs not really explained particularly well but to put it simply Doug is going to eat raw fruit and veg for a week to see if we can slim the fatty down ;-) Only joking Doug we love ya figure, but no seriously he is trying this out as we speak I hope and we will report back next time-see we did do something that we said that we would!</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Song 2 â <city><place>Regina</place></city> Spektor â That Time</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Or Vigina Inspecktor as some might well say. Anywho this Russian/New Yorker is an amazingly talented pianaist and mulit instrumentalist who sings deep songs with swearing and drugs and love and all sorts of things silly. Basically she rocks and is very very different. This is not atypical song but one of our favesâenjoy.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&lt;a href=&quot;<span>http://www.myspace.com/reginaspektor</span>&quot;&gt;My Space&lt;/a&gt;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&lt;a href=&quot;http://www.reginaspektor.com&quot;&gt;Website&lt;/a&gt;.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Link 2 â</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Science, science, science is golden! Yes indeed it is and Housemate returns for the first time in 2007 and his third and most explosive experiment so far! Yes this time we had to spend about 10 minutes hunting down the cat so we did not exploderise it. Hiding behind our specially designed shield, a piece of the broken fence that blew down in the wind, Dave and Housemate hid whilst <city><place>Tyler</place></city> lit the âexperimentâ?. <city><place>Tyler</place></city> EVEN had gloves this time but you can see form the pictures and video below what happened and Iâll let the podcast explain the restâ.. </font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">This song is amazing. It shows what a good song writer Jack White actually is as demonstrated in the Raconteurs where he also shows that he can play. Shame that he had to drag his sister around for so long but-hey ho the crap drummer is gone. Anyways this is a deeply funky dark smooth version that seriously kicks ass. Unfortunately as the song is chosen by <city><place>Tyler</place></city> we know nothing about itâwe think that is the band name so get researching if you would like to find out more!</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">In yet another guest filled show Shireen calls us from Hong Kong to talk about Chinese New Year-however whilst we were waiting for her to call we talked some bollocks. <p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Tyler then asks if one could inject men as a drug would you which receives a resounding yes form John and Debbie-Iâm not sure how we got on to this but I have a feeling that I had left the studio at that point.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Well freebies-exciting things and stuff-yes <city><place>Tyler</place></city> tries to give away many free things, basically hes giving away all his crap. <p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Song 4 â Guano Apes â Diokhan</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Well for a song chosen by Dave not much is really known about this band. They are form <country-region><place>Germany</place></country-region> and no longer exist with no myspace and no website. They do rock and their music is still around if you wanna check it out. The most info that we could find is on Wikipedia below so check that out and then head to Amazon to buy buy buy!</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Link 4 â </font></p>

Dave then plays an impromptu game of 20 questions with John by sticking a post it note on his forehead. Itâs ultimately witty and provides a good link for <city><place>Tyler</place></city> to get into the correspondent. </font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Thanks to everyone for our lovely valentineâs messages and I canât be arsed to list them all so you will just have to listen. Debbie tells everyone what happened at the actual retox party-Dave thought that this had been covered but alas apparently not. Yes Dave was playing air guitar by himself at 3 in the morning-joy!</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3"><city><place>Tyler</place></city> then takes it upon himself to rant-itâs either about Harrods or posh people but eh never quite made it clear. <p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Lastly Debbie brought tickets to a Klaxions Gig in <city><place>Glasgow</place></city>. Not wanting to put them on ebay she will sell them to the highest bidder. <title>The ILP - Show 14 12/02/07</title>
<link>http://theilp.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=181160#</link>
<description><![CDATA[<div><p class="MsoNormal">Introduction â</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Valentines Day is upon us again! So we here at The ILP are offering a one off time limited service-yes ILP Chat, for those of you who are alone. Well the into. Speaks for itself really and then we finally tell you what is coming up in a showâ. </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 1 â Muse â I Love You Baby (I canât remember the correct title)</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Dave yet again picks the first love song to begin this sinking ship and who could do better than a random B side cover of Muse huh?</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&lt;a href=&quot;<span class="a"><span>http://www.muse.mu/index.php</span></span>&quot;&gt;Website&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&lt;a href=&quot;<span>http://www.myspace.com/muse</span>&quot;&gt;Myspace Page&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Link 1 â </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">As itâs Dougâs birthday today you can hear all the preparations going on in the background, which to be fair possibly was not he best idea as itâs all a tad distracting. Alas we solider through and beginning by discussing Genkiâs philosophy. I should point out that this is not her philosophy more something that she read and was a discussion point which worked really, really well! The Pizza guy roles up and whist we chomp away we discuss Debbie being sexual with pizza-one reason we always have pizza whilst recording ;-) </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Our competition that was launched-to win the rest of the vinyl and we had one whole entry! Yes indeed Lisa won! This is before we go on to talk about Debbieâs failure to start a balloon riot at the Ass Now gig! Dave then goes on about the story of how he got together with his ex-itâs probably inappropriate but itâs the only story that we had-well other than Debbieâs story about breaking her neck, eek! (Debbieâs neck that is).</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 2 â The Undertones â Hypnotise</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This is <city><place>Tyler</place></city>âs choice and again he was having mucho trouble choosing a song so we decided to drop him in it and make a last ditch attempt. Aparently he once put it on a Valentines complication for Jude-ah how sweet!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&lt;a href=&quot;<span class="a"><span>http://www.theundertones.com/</span></span>&quot;&gt;Website&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&lt;a href=&quot;<span>http://www.myspace.com/realundertones</span>&quot;&gt;Myspace Page&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Link 2 â </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Jamie is joined by Tyler for the first time in the studio whilst everyone else has fucked off for a fag and is sorting things out for later (you might well miss that as Tyler tryâs to not make a big deal about the whole thing). Jamie unsuccessfully tries to tempt Tyler into breaking the world record for the longest kiss-which Tyler claims is a load of old crap but at least this has a valentines edge to it. The shocking record is 31hours and 30 min completed during the July 7<sup>th</sup> bombings-now that is dedication!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Tyler ten launches a new competition which no one will enter again-yes you get eh chance to name his foos ball players and win fuck all in the process other than the honour of naming a player-joy. Not that the rest of us are being cynical or anything-never ;-) However with it being Jamie everything gets related to Jurassic Park and this was the point that even I got lost and luckily the neighbours popped by (for Dougâs âpartyâ? to save the day and to stop them talking. You can hear how scared Jess and Lia get as they walk into a house where they know no one. This is because the others were out making sure that Doug got pissed.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 3 â The Fratellis â For The Girl</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><place>Chosen</place> by John. John put much thought into this song as when asked what his song was this week he said er, one off this CD as thatâs what Iâm listening to at the moment. Well itâs a great song form a great band and itâs their second ILP outing!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&lt;a href=&quot;<span class="a"><span>http://www.thefratellis.com/select.php</span></span>&quot;&gt;Website&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&lt;a href=&quot;<span>http://www.myspace.com/littlebabyfratelli</span>&quot;&gt;Myspace Page&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Link 3 â </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The birthday boy returns to much screaming and party poppers in his face! I thin this is the most people we have EVER had on mic at the same time </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">(excluding the party). Doug opens his present and cake is brought to a fabulous rendition of âHappy Birthdayâ?. Champaign is opened and Doug is give three </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">choices as to how to drink it-yes wait and here which one he chooses, so classy! However <city><place>Tyler</place></city> disturbing letâs out some dirty secrets-itâs a little disturbing </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">so we might not have him back but hey as itâs <city><place>Tyler</place></city>âwell you decide!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 4 â The Smashing Pumpkins â Bodies</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">As itâs Dougâs birthday we decided to let him pick a happy love song soâhe said fuck that and picked a deeply depressing song instead with âLove is suicideâ? shouted over and over again. But hey it fits in with the general tone of the show so hey and it is by the greatest band in the world so again Rock-nice choice Doug! </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&lt;a href=&quot;<span class="a"><span>http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/</span></span>&quot;&gt;Website&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&lt;a href=&quot;<span>http://www.myspace.com/smashingpumpkins</span>&quot;&gt;Myspace Page&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Link 4 â</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Link four begins a tad differently form normal, after we have kicked everyone out and this podcast is seamless-yes John has some special messages from a special person. Dave is told that Housemate is not stalking him and <city><place>Tyler</place></city> is told to do the washing up. We then get the special guest on the phone for the very first time and he reveals Tylerâs tactics to playing poker-to be quite frank with Tylerâs skillâs his money is anyoneâs so we are not suggesting that he should be hitting the casino anytime soon! </p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">It wouldnât be the forth link without the correspondence and <city><place>Tyler</place></city> recaps the highs and lows of the last couple of weeks of chat. Out new fave listeners in no particular order are Debbie and Meghan (which I think we forgot to say) as they have been making us laugh the most recently! Well done! Oh and Genki has finally received her single that she won back in November!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">This time Dave rants against gossip columns and the use of the term âshowbiz palsâ?. We are not really sure as the argument is never really coherent but what more would we expect form our dyslexic friends-ell the others agree with him so our message to them is to get a fucking life!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 5 â The Clash â Iâm Not Down</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Another great song to finish the show as chosen by Debbie. This is her happy song and is good to dance around to once you have finished a relationship-there we go hitting the valentines day spirit again! Joy-itâs a great so so enjoy and until the next time!</p>

<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Introduction Ã??</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">ItÃ??s the first show of the year and Dave decided to take the reigns for the introduction but how could it be done without Stuart! Yep you can hear his voice in this incredibly cheesy introdyction.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Song <street></street><address>1 Ã?? A Perfect Circle</address>Ã?? Judith</font></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Dave picked the first song again-well why not? ItÃ??s his show. So we begin the show with some metal created by geniuses from many other bands!</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&lt;a href=&quot;<span class="a"><span>www.aperfectcircle.com</span></span>&quot;&gt;Website&lt;/a&gt;</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Link 1 Ã?? </font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">After introducing the song Debbie and John point out the scary likeness of Dave and <city></city><place></place>Tyler and the tone of the show slips right back into what it was last year. The contact details spiral out and then we go on to discuss what we have been doing during the break-IE. The new features that we have been working on! ItÃ??s JohnÃ??s birthday, or it was during the break so in an ILP tradition we gave him someÃ?Âda da da vinyl! Dave and Debbie than talk about their shanagions in Koko and DaveÃ??s theory on pulling women.</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Song 2 Ã?? Love Psychedellico Ã?? Last Smile</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">This is TyelrÃ??s choice and also a request form a listener (unfortunately I canÃ??t spell her name) As usual there is no info. But its Japanese and rocks so er yeah!</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Link 2 Ã?? </font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">JohnÃ??s new feature is being peoples Ã??Common SenseÃ??. This all came about when Madonna tried to adopt a baby and John came up with a rational reaction! Anyways we decided that this was a talent not to be wasted and when our US ILP friend Ã??DÃ?? sent us an email she had received from a pervy 40 year old bloke then what better could we do than read it out and take the piss out of him-I mean er help! John then brings it back to himself and explains how he needs saving from men! </font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Debbie briefly discuses chat up lines and then we beaate <city></city><place></place>Tyler for being a loser and going to his own NYE party.</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Song 3 Ã?? <city></city><place></place>Gorkys Zygotic Mynci Ã?? Patio Song</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3"><place></place>Chosen by John. This is a song about a patio on fire but its only mentioned once and then goes into Welsh so we have no idea if they ever put it out or not! Well maybe some one can help us out!</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">&nbsp;</font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">Stu came up trumps again and gave us a fun bit of audio to stick on the front of the show. He also mentioned that we didnât mention him enough which to be fair after all his hard work he needs a bigger mention so Debbie and John got on the case! Oh then they started talking about porn but that bit gets explained laterâ.</font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3">After <city><place>Tyler</place></city> struggles through giving out the usual garb, he is particularly excited this week. As well as the usual we are joined by <city><place>Tylers</place></city> housemate who is in charge of the porn bell. This gets explainedâwell not really but hey. <city><place>Tyler</place></city> then talks about his visit to <city><place>Cardiff</place></city> before moving on to Debbies birthday and the giving of her presents, which include a book with rude words (what else huh), some records and maybe a CD. I canât remember. Presents are a plenty as Kelly our Fave listener for the second show running give us lots of exciting things and photos, which are up on the myspace page. <p align="center"><span>Introduction â</span></p>
<p align="center"><span>So Stuart does it again! <span class="GramE">Another piece of genius for the introduction.</span> Bearing in mind that this show was due to be released around Halloween <span class="GramE">the into</span> would have made perfect senseâalas it does not but the joke here really follows if you are a regular listener. Yes that <span class="GramE">be</span> Dave and Colin singing from Show 7. Anyways if you want it check <span class="SpellE">myspace</span>! This is followed by the last of <span class="SpellE">Sarahs</span> jokes-w think very funny and </span><city><place><span>Tyler</span></place></city><span> laughed heartily at the last one <span class="SpellE">bwahaha</span>ânice singing too!</span></p>
<p align="center"><span>Song 1 â CSS â Letâs Make Love to Death From Above</span></p>
<p align="center"><span>Dave is back to his usual Diva tricks and plays a song he has been holding back on for a while. A 6 piece <span class="SpellE">funkay</span> dance/<span class="SpellE">indie</span> band from </span><country-region><place><span>Brazil</span></place></country-region><span> with balls (not literally)âwhat more do you want huh?</span></p>

<p align="center"><span>Link 1 â </span></p>
<p align="center"><span>After the usual <span class="SpellE">gufiffhal</span> we explain the brief delay in recording. Yes Dave indeed jinxed the whole show recorded the night before Halloween and the computer decided to die-either that or it <span class="SpellE">twas</span> really <span class="SpellE">really</span> bad. Okay so we should warn you here this link is mainly about Dave who talks A LOT about masturbation and specifically along to the showâWe try to kick off with some innocent star readings but it all turns to sex. Dave then invites questions form the others and it stay in the gutter telling them about his sex life or lack of and what he wouldnât tell his parents before John <span class="SpellE">decideds</span> to launch a new competitionâjoy!</span></p>
<p align="center"><span>Song 2 â Bad <span class="SpellE">Habbitz</span> â Wet Spot</span></p>
<p align="center"><span>Johnâs choice and its some German band where he probably slept with them all and broke up all the relationships and then left them crying-they deserved it apparently. Actually none of the above is true but John gave no information and we have nothing else to write except dirty lies! Just accept it! <span class="SpellE">Anwyas</span> itâs a great song so check <span class="SpellE">check</span> them out and if you find anythingâ.let us know!</span></p>
<p align="center"><span>&nbsp;</span></p>
<p align="center"><span>Link 2 â </span></p>
<p align="center"><span>So Jamie <span class="SpellE">Jamie</span> <span class="SpellE">Jamie</span>! We randomly hunted him down after him getting lost <span class="SpellE">int</span> eh park (back in fucking July) but we get to find out where he has beenâthe World <span class="SpellE">Moleing</span> ChampionshipsâWe still have absolute no idea but apparently France and Libya have been banned. To be honest I think <span class="SpellE">tis</span> a crap excuse and we would sack him for being shit but we love him too much and heâs great. Actually letâs give him a promotionâ..<span class="SpellE">ahhhhhhhhh</span></span></p>

<p align="center"><span>Song 3 â The Cedars â Meds</span></p>
<p align="center"><span>This song is by The Cedars who are an amazing band-check them out and we talk about them in the next link. Highly recommend them.</span></p>

<p align="center"><span>Link 3 â </span></p>
<p align="center"><span>This link, a rather long one, is mainly about two things. It was about many <span class="SpellE">many</span> more things but then we edited it. Firstly we talk about going to see The Cedars who you have just heard and tell everyone how great they are. To be honest I canât type reviews so listen and see what we say. The second part is talking through our correspondence which there is a lot. We do try and mention anyone but some had to be cut for time so apologise if you are not mentioned. You were but some simply had to be cut, sorry <span class="SpellE">sorry</span> <span class="SpellE">sorry</span>.&nbsp;Oh and there <span class="GramE">is the usual obscenities</span> including talk of prostitutes, bestiality and David <span class="SpellE">Hasslehoff</span>. This then somehow moves on to gun crime and a story of Debbie nearly being mugged. The ILP does its usual community service and explains how to defend <span class="GramE">yourself</span> in a mugging situation. The rant was heavily cut again due to time but <span class="GramE">its</span> about gingers. Debbie says on behalf of her friend-donât worry she <span class="SpellE">ainât</span> no <span class="SpellE">ginge</span>! Lastly </span><city><place><span>Tyler</span></place></city><span> manages to give out all the details without fucking up before threatening to kill everyone but the last song is his!</span></p>

<p>Introduction - <br/></p>

<p>After the fiasco of the last intro we decided to give Introduction duty to<br/>Stu as to be fair he's come up with the best ideas thus far and look at what<br/>he found this time! Very funny from Chris Rock but we wanted more so <br/>there is a classic joke form Sarah to spice things up!</p>

<p>
<a href="http://www.chrisrock.com>">here's more about Chris Rock</a>.

</p>

<p>Song 1 - Keasbey Nights: Catch 22 <br/></p>

<p>John gets the first song again as he picked a decent ska punk tune which<br/>we don't hear enough of these days! Basically a friends of his used to<br/>cover it in his band back in Leeds and here it is for you. yey! <br/></p>

<p>All of us back together again and still no one seems to have a clue as to<br/>what is going on. Gee whiz nothing changes! We discuss if contributes can<br/>enter competitions and the answer is a resounding yes and then talk about<br/>sticking stickers in places-that's fine too. It quickly turns to porn and<br/>Debbie talks about getting arrested a strip club-didn't happen just<br/>hypothetical. John was caught up in a massive fire at Whitechappel having<br/>flaming till rolls come flying at his head but it soon turns out that he was<br/>able to take pictures and could well have been a set up by john! Dave<br/>points out he is insured and the plot to steal all his stuff quickly<br/>materialises. We quickly discuss the new Olympic sport for 2012 and <br/>water births leads the way. Debbie was Djing at a lesbian and police <br/>woman's party-so que lesbians and police! She got drunk, shock horror! <br/>Hehe and played her fave tunes-well who can argue with that?</p>

<p><br/>Song 2: Dukes Special - Last night I nearly died but I woke up in time. <br/>Tylers Choice

</p>

<p>
Link 2: <br/></p>

<p>This time in our special guest slot we are joined by Shireen and this is the <br/>first time we have done a recording with someone outside the country so <br/>making ILP history! Shireen is a friend of ours who has moved back to <br/>Hong Kong and will talk to us about the cultural differences and tells some<br/>very interesting stories. This time she talks about food including killing<br/>chickens, snake soup and eating monkey brains. I hope that she will c<br/>ome back in the future to tell us more. <br/></p>

<p>Song 3: Placebo - Meds <br/></p>

<p>Chosen by Shireen.</p>

</p>

<p>
Link 3: <br/></p>

<p>Debbie has a plot to take over the world and gets insulted yet again before <br/>Dave tires to get Scandinavia high up on the list-Tyler is bemused! The <br/>conservation gets a little dirty as John accuses girls of being fishy (what <br/>would he know) and Dave refers back to a long gone ex! We then talk <br/>about the Leg-end that is Mr Tarbard an old uni chum of Daves. Before <br/>we do all the correspondence including Debbies Mum and Michele! <br/>Debbie tells us about her birthday plans going to a strip club and you're all <br/>invited! Before they talk about Dave stripping (horrible images, yuk!) <a href="<http://groups.myspace.com/ILP>"><br/></a></p>

<p><a href="<http://groups.myspace.com/ILP>">Insane Lumberjack Posse</a> are our ILP counterparts and Tyler explains all <br/>about how he met them and what they so-check them out as they rock! <br/></p>

<p>Song 4: Yeah Yeah Yeah's - Honeybear <br/></p>

<p><br/>Debbies choice and we all know the Yeah Yeah Yeahs rock! This one <br/>from their new album. <br/></p>

<p><a href="http://www.yeahyeahyeahs.com">Official Website</a> <br/></p>

<p><a href="http://www.myspace.com/yeahyeahyeahs">Myspace page</a>
</p>

<p>
Link 4: <br/></p>

<p>Dave asks did Indians have Kayaks and Canoes before we start talking <br/>about How 2! well I dunno. This in turn turns to talking about Jenny Bond<br/>being adopted by the Royal Family which makes john launch into an<br/>impromptu rant about Madonna! Tyler says she can come answer her critics by coming round and we invite any celebrities who are inte<br/>rested especially Russell Brand which turns out to be controversial. <br/>John then decided he can be Madonna's common sense before Tyler loses<br/>the plot for a second. Before we go Tyler says come be our 100 listener and win a date with one of the team! herm well keep in touch! <br/></p>

<p>Song 5: The Smashing Pumpkins - Hummer <br/></p>

<p>Dave's fave band-Amazing throughout the 90s until they turned strange. This is one of their best but there is sooooooooooo much material it is <br/>often difficult to choose.</p>

<title>The ILP - Show 7 10/10/06</title>
<link>http://theilp.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=139320#</link>
<description><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Email Ã?? <a href="mailto:contact@theilp.com"><font color="#ff9900">contact@theilp.com</font></a></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://media.libsyn.com/media/theilp/The_ILP_-_Show_7.mp3"><font color="#003399">The ILP Show 7</font></a></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://theilp.com/"><font color="#003399">Website Ã?? theilp.com</font></a>.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Introduction Ã??</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">So eh yeah okayÃ?Âwell this show started off with a brad spanking new song written by Tyler who knocked out and recorded it in ten min. Originally 6 versus long we allowed him to record two and managed to squeeze in one during the editing process. Featuring James (Tylers Housemate) on guitar, check out link 3 for his ILP debut, the full song is now on the myspace page for all those kids who want to catch the whole dann thing. This was followed by a clip of another recording session that Dave did with Colin (his housemate of the time) where they cover Phil Collins and we think that it is better than the original. Okay perhaps not. Anyways the late night recording session will appear more in the outtakes showÃ?Â.ooooooo so think of it as a prelude. Anyway this is perhaps the most random introduction thus far but hey Stuart has taken over full duties of intros from now on and we feel that it is er representative of the show. Yes lets run with that!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 1 Ã?? The Go Team Ã?? Junior Kickstart</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://www.thegoteam.co.uk/flash/GoKids.html"><font color="#003399">Band Website</font></a></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://blog.myspace.com/<SPAN%20style="><font color="#003399">http://www.myspace.com/thegoteam&quot;&gt;Band Website</font></a></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Link 1 Ã?? </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><city w:st="on"></city><place w:st="on"></place>Tyler couldn't make it to the recording this week so we decided to do the decent thing and carry on without him. He may have been reeling from all the insults but luckily we add many many more-bless. Promise we will be good to him form now on. So there is an introduction to the new Studio and Dave's house before we more on to small children and porn. Well you might as well start where you intend to get on to. Again Dave forgets about the first song which is really banging (see above) where Debbie has a revelation about Track 7 on albumsÃ?Âis it normally your fave track and do you know why? <a href="mailto:contact@theilp.com"><font color="#ff9900">contact@theilp.com</font></a> John spent a whole evening in the pub learning about palm reading which qualifies him to be an expert. He decideds to read Debbie and Dave's hands with some surprising results before we discover that John must be the second coming! Hes full qualified as is discussed so it must be true!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 2 Ã?? Some Chanting form a Mongolian band</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Bad spelling means that we can't get any information about this but its really good-we will find out more form John-sorry.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Link 3 Ã?? </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Another link and yet more presenters join the ILP team. Dave was joined by Sarah and Yas who were feeling a little worse for wear after having a VERY heavy weekend. Yasir talks about his (lack) of experiences with drugs, prostitutes and gay clubs in <city w:st="on"></city><place w:st="on"></place>Amsterdam before revealing his common misconception with CokeÃ?Âwe shall leave that to you to work out. The three of them used to work in the GCSU as Dave went to the ex managers leaving party the night before and then Sarah and Yas talk about how they used to abuse the other staff as they were supervisers. This moves swiftly on to pest control in Sarahs house with cockroaches and mice. Sarah found one dead on her bed and Paul (her flatmate) had one crawling on his face-although we are dubious of the reasons as to why. Then there is the issuses of the glass in Emmas foot where Yas bravely took her to the hospital but not until after him and Sarah decided to play Doctors and caused her much more pain-bless! Hopefully they will be back very very soon!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 3 Ã?? Ozone Ã?? Numai Tu</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Chosen by Sarah and YasÃ?Âer yeah erÃ?Âthey sum it up really.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://artists.universal-music.de/ozone"><font color="#003399">Band Website</font></a></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><a href="http://blog.myspace.com/<SPAN%20style="><font color="#003399">http://www.myspace.com/ozone&quot;&gt;Myspace Page</font></a></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Link 3 Ã?? </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">So it comes out as to why <city w:st="on"></city><place w:st="on"></place>Tyler was not really at the main recording (only joking). James joins us for this link and we find out as to why <city w:st="on"></city><place w:st="on"></place>Tyler is really broke and seems to have no idea what is going on around him. Bad short term memory apparently! After a barrage of insults we talk about cock swear words and compare it to a certain c word which Dave yet again says-joy. <city w:st="on"></city><place w:st="on"></place>Tyler as usual has a new fave listener and due to The ILPs bad spelling we can't spell the name but hey. There is a lovely lady in Mayalisia who tells her class to listen-we scareingly re teaching kids EnglishÃ?Â..So Good list/Bad list Ã?? <place w:st="on"></place><city w:st="on"></city>Tylers new feature. On the bad list this time is Daves non-uniform policy at work and on the Good list was the free booze at the film premier that Tyler and Dave went to. They got very very drunk and had some painful attempts to pull women! </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 4 Ã?? <b>The Fratellis</b> - Cuntry boys and City girls (see below for details)</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Link 4 - </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Debbie does her music corresponding and brings us three more fab tab bands to check out. Unfortunitly this bit was cut to pieces due to the amount of inturruptign form John and Dave but they are really worth checking out. Take a look at all the airplay the Holloways are getting now. Dave is EVEN going to buy the &quot;Get Cape Where Cape Fly Album&quot; but here is all the info you will need!</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">&nbsp;</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Introduction â</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">With the introduction of The ILP stickers drawing in a much larger audience we decided that a warning was needed to alert members of the public who might be offended by the content-anyway they are now warned so like yeah! You leave the kids alone for five minuets and look what happens. They start talking about enlarging body partsâ.ah well listen to find out why Dave was not thereâ.actually perhaps that really isnât worth building upâ</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Song 1 â Pendulum â Fasten Your Seatbelt</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Chosen by john and this song truly rocks. This CD is in Daveâs collection yet again thanks to Annie Macâ.I should stop here. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> starts of the show with Debbie and they make a good go of it except Debbie struggles a little with the contact addresses. Donât worry I have made links here so you do not need to worry about them-thank God. The ILP is moving, at time of recording we had no idea where but turns out it will be all the way to Brockley. This quickly leads on to a new concept we were in the process of development for random dares-or it might have been daring each other to randomly ask strangers if they have a copy of Debbie does Dallis. We then take a look at the JK Vâs Joel issue, our rivals although they have no idea about us. This rings us on to a Mr Ricky Gravies whom has a mere 8 million listeners and is our new rival. And the launch of our sticker competition-email us at <a href="mailto:contact@theilp.com"><font color="#ff9900">contact@theilp.com</font></a> with your address and Iâll send some out to you! Unbeknownst to us Debbie had been to have her fortune read, itâs not all as voodoo as that, but we tried to get all the gossip about here future life!</p>

Tehre was much correspondence this time around but we mainly focus on Pink Indie Chick who has been sending lots of emails and topped Pedro as our current favourite listener. Thanks to everyone else too as they do get a little mention.</p>

<title>The ILP - Show 5 22/08/06</title>
<link>http://theilp.libsyn.com/index.php?post_id=122665#</link>
<description><![CDATA[<p>Yeah so I finally did them and they are not completly comprehensive but much better than nowt!</p>
<p>Email Ã?? <a href="mailto:contact@theilp.com">contact@theilp.com</a><br/>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.myspace.com/theilp&quot;>Myspace">http://www.myspace.com/theilp&quot;&gt;Myspace</a> Page Ã?? myspace.com/theilp&lt;/a&gt;<br/>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://theilp.com&quot;>website/">http://theilp.com&quot;&gt;Website</a> Ã?? theilp.com&lt;/a&gt;.</p>
<p>Introduction Ã??</p>
<p>ScientologyÃ?Âknown by many as the religion for idiots and here at The ILP we couldnÃ??t agree more. So when Stu came across this on the net &lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.ytmnd.com/&quot;>Ytmnd.com</a">http://www.ytmnd.com/&quot;&gt;Ytmnd.com&lt;/a</a>&gt; which hits out at both the religion and the giant twat Tom Cruise I couldnÃ??t help but to use itÃ?ÂSo yeah. We suggest checking out this infamous &lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLnsBv6UQ-o&quot;>South">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GLnsBv6UQ-o&quot;&gt;South</a> Park&lt;/a&gt; clip which explains more than anyone else actually could.</p>
<p>Song 1 Ã?? The Similou Ã?? All This Love</p>
<p>Chosen by Dave as itÃ??s been played on Annie Macs show now for months. ItÃ??s a fun poptastic tune, well not if your Tyler, but if you like check out the links to find out more.</p>
<p>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.drownedinsound.com/release/view/7856&quot;>Review</a">http://www.drownedinsound.com/release/view/7856&quot;&gt;Review&lt;/a</a>&gt;.<br/>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.myspace.com/thesimilou&quot;>Myspace">http://www.myspace.com/thesimilou&quot;&gt;Myspace</a> Page&lt;/a&gt;<br/>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.bmg.com&quot;>record/">http://www.bmg.com&quot;&gt;Record</a> Label&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p>Link 1 Ã?? </p>
<p>Dave and Tyler introduce the show and the song in the usual fashion except Tyler seems to have impending problems with stating the contact details. This time they are joined by John and Debbie for most of the show. Dave has problems with pronunciation quite early on and there is a discussion about the word Ã??RantÃ?? Ã?? exciting stuff! The first item is &lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.myspace.com/ck_at_morningstarr&quot;>CKÃ??s">http://www.myspace.com/ck_at_morningstarr&quot;&gt;CKÃ??s</a> Myspace page&lt;/a&gt;<br/>who has been collecting &lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.myspace.com/rugmonkey&quot;>Daves.</a">http://www.myspace.com/rugmonkey&quot;&gt;Daves.&lt;/a</a>&gt; They find a shocking discovery about the studio (aka DaveÃ??s room). Discuss the massive cultural diversity of all the listeners. Before discussing Shireen and how very much she is missed and hopefully she will be part of the team very very soon! Lots of burger talk as they talk about how best to eat the burgers is the best way to summarise everything said me thinks. </p>
<p>Song 2 Ã?? Bird Ã?? Game (form Sakrah Hills Disco 2000 Ã?? please excuse spelling)</p>
<p>Being his usual helpful self Tyler said Ã??Errrrrr, I don't know anything about it. I never do with my songs.Ã?? But we love him and he has a dann fine taste in music choosing this song because Ã??it is damn funkyÃ??.<br/>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.metropolis.co.jp/tokyomusicconcerts/japanbeat/354/tokyomusicjapanbeatinc.htm&quot;>Check">http://www.metropolis.co.jp/tokyomusicconcerts/japanbeat/354/tokyomusicjapanbeatinc.htm&quot;&gt;Check</a> here for more info on bird&lt;/a&gt;.</p>
<p>Jamie finally reaches the team after a week of being AWOL and manages to explain whyÃ?Âwell to some extent. He previews the Animal Olympics, answers his critics and corrects us on the Gay Football World Cup.</p>
<p>Song 3 Ã?? The Testicicles Ã?? Circle Square Triangle</p>
<p>Chosen by Debbie at the very last minute as Stu was too sick to come to the recording-I think she said just because they rock. Which indeed they do!</p>
<p>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.contactmusic.com/new/home.nsf/webpages/testiciclesx02x11x05&quot;>Review</a">http://www.contactmusic.com/new/home.nsf/webpages/testiciclesx02x11x05&quot;&gt;Review&lt;/a</a>&gt;.<br/>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.test-icicles.com/&quot;>Band">http://www.test-icicles.com/&quot;&gt;Band</a> Website&lt;/a&gt;<br/>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.myspace.com/testicicles&quot;>Myspace">http://www.myspace.com/testicicles&quot;&gt;Myspace</a> Page&lt;/a&gt;</p>
<p>Tyler sticks himself in hot water at the very beginning of the link which leads to Dave and Debbie bullying him for being cynical all the time-poor Tyler, send him hugs! Irish SarahÃ??s request is fulfilled and we talk about all correspondence-if you wanna contact us to request songs or anything really then the details are at the top of the page. There is a discussion about 80s fashion and then a plea from Dave for someone to help him out with his fashion. The competition winner was revealed and the lack of people requesting frazzles was quite shocking. The baseball game in the park is covered and you can find out the final winner but we quickly cut in to discussing alcohol problems and STDs. John gives us the proper warnings as to why we shouldnÃ??t drink so muchÃ?Âheed his advise!</p>
<p>Note Ã?? Tyler did rant but it was cut for time reasons. It may well be included in the future for those of you who were desperately upset for the non-inclusion.</p>
<p>Song 4 Ã?? Chesney Hawks Ã?? One And Only</p>
<p>This is a listener request-one of our fave listeners and itÃ??s all especially for him. I hope it takes you back.</p>
<p>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.chesneyhawkes.co.uk&quot;>official/">http://www.chesneyhawkes.co.uk&quot;&gt;Official</a> Website&lt;/a&gt;<br/>&lt;a href=&quot;<a href="http://www.myspace.com/chesneyhawkesmyspace&quot;>Official">http://www.myspace.com/chesneyhawkesmyspace&quot;&gt;Official</a> Myspace Page&lt;/a&gt;<br/></p>

<description><![CDATA[<span><font size="3"><p class="MsoNormal"><span>Email â <a href="mailto:contact@theilp.com"><font color="#ff9900">contact@theilp.com</font></a></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Myspace â<a href="http://www.myspace.com/theilp"><font color="#ff9900"> www.myspace.com/theilp</font></a></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Website â <a href="http://www.theilp.com/">http://www.theilp.com/</a></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Introduction:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Because Dave is incredibly lazy and hadnât quite finished his idea, although to be fair let alone started it Stu sent him the A-Team theme and the introduction was born-hazar!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span><a href="http://www.ateamshrine.co.uk/">http://www.ateamshrine.co.uk/</a></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Song 1 â Muse â New Born</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>âPomposity, bombast, pretension and prog-rock: they're four crimes that blight the landscape of modern music and <i>Origin Of Symmetry</i>--the second record by Teignmouth angst-rockers Muse--is guilty of every single one. But the truly astonishing thing about this record is the way it twists every one of these cardinal musical sins into spectacularly silly and starkly individual strengths. Where their debut album <i>Showbiz</i> was rightly dismissed as little more than Radiohead-lite, here Muse sound defiantly like their own band: on &quot;New Born&quot;, they're torn somewhere between the purity of front man Matt Bellamy's angelic vocal tones and the corruption of a huge, dirty, distorted bass riff that electrifies the sound into crackling life; on the fraught, operatic &quot;Bliss&quot;, they sound like an unholy--but very welcome--cross between synth-heavy Krautrock legends Tangerine Dream and youthful choirboy angst-peddlers JJ72; and even a wonderfully dippy take on the Nina Simone-popularised jazz standard &quot;Feeling Good&quot; is carried off with the requisite deadpan countenance. Bellamy's impassioned voice, in particular, is on spectacular form, soaring skywards until it cracks into a beautiful falsetto reminiscent of Jeff Buckley's greatest vocal moments. So gloriously overblown, it deserves to be huge--<i>Origin Of Symmetry</i> is a fascinating, flamboyant and satisfyingly individual album.â?</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span><a href="http://www.muse.mu/">http://www.muse.mu/</a></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span><a href="http://www.wmg.com/">http://www.wmg.com/</a></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>The point of playing this song was skipped over. Dave went to see a free gig of theirs in Shepardâs Bush Empire with Irish Sarah who kindly managed to get free tickets-thanks! They have a new album out now-buy it! </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Link One:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Dave and Tyler say hello and give out the all important address and say, for once, what is coming up in the show! They make a last ditch attempt to get people to contact the show. Well it never hurts to try right? They move on to the Metro competition which as explained currently stand at 1-1. <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> had a reply but Dave got a bigger letter-the arguments continue! <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tyler</place></city> then goes into a rantâthis week about himself! </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Song 2 â I need to find out the informationâ.opps</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Link Two:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>It all kicks off with Dave introducing Jamie who is currently in a secret location broadcasting from a donkeyâapparently! Dave screws up and suggests that the World Cup final was played between <country-region w:st="on">Italy</country-region> and <country-region w:st="on">Germany</country-region> which is of course not true as it was between <country-region w:st="on">Italy</country-region> and <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">France</place></country-region>. Jamie trys to tell us about the World Wife Carrying Competition and the Gay World Cup but it soon turns out that he knows nothing about either-no change there then. <p class="MsoNormal"><span>Stu returns this week to talk about gamesâor the lack of them. Aside from telling us interesting things about Japanese women we learn about two new games currently in development. Prey and Darkstar One.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Competition time. We launched a challenging competition last time for someone to simply write in and receive a prize! At time of recording no one had but Button Head was the first to leave a message on Myspace so congratulations to him for winning! More on Jaded lovers comes up as again the response has been very very limited, so Dave and Tyler put out a call for more lovers to get until contact with us. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Now on to the rap. Dave is still not quite sure about this but <city w:st="on"><place w:st="on">Tylers</place></city> friend Joya asked him to do a white boy rap to which he kinda agreed and wrote one. Performed along with human beet box its either hilarious or painful-itâs still up in the air. The show closes with Dave badly telling the story about getting mugged which was not fun. I say badly because he actually forgets to tell the story.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>Song 4 â Tool â <span class="tiny1"><span>Vicarious</span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span class="tiny1"><span>â</span></span><span>With a majority of the songs on <i>10,000 Days</i> clocking in well past the seven-minute mark, you wouldn't be entirely mistaken in thinking that the title of the album refers to how long it actually takes to make it through the whole thing. Two of the tracks--the sitar and tabla enhanced &quot;10,000 Days (Wings Part 2)&quot; and its suitably epic psych-rock sister &quot;Rosetta Stoned&quot;--even linger on for nearly a dozen leisurely minutes each. That's delightful news for the legion of Tool fans that have been waiting five years for the follow-up to 2001's <i>Lateralus</i>, which debuted at number one and sold 2.3 million copies in the <country-region w:st="on"><place w:st="on">United States</place></country-region>. Singer Maynard James Keenan is back on mystical form after his hiatus with the politically slanted <street w:st="on"><address w:st="on">A Perfect Circle</address></street>, sounding at once ethereal and eloquent as he calmly charges through the metal tempest of the opening track &quot;Vicarious.&quot; The rest of the band, meanwhile, hits a series of high-flying moments with tracks such as &quot;Jambi&quot; and &quot; The Pot.&quot; When Tool sounds as good as it does on these songs it's hard to get enough. Which makes it all the more baffling that a surprisingly large chunk of the disc is given over to mood-enhancing soundscapes like &quot;Lost Keys&quot; and &quot;Vigniti Tres.&quot; Who has time for filler?â?</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span><font size="3">Due to Amazon being shit and not deliverin the said soundtrack CD that I had ordered I decided to go with Show 3 introduction instead. The only problem being is that we hadnât explained it so the song is a tad random. It comes from a CD called âThe Amateur Transplantsâ? by a duo called âFitness to Practiceâ?. They are two doctors who are raising money for a good cause by selling their hailirious, although slightly wrong CD. You would have heard of them from âThe London Undergroundâ? song. Check them out from the link below.</font></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span><font size="3">Song 1:- The Raconteurs â Level</font></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3"><span>âWhen initial reports seeped out that Jack White and Brendan Benson were recording an album together, there followed some considerable buzz, the pair themselves even declaring it â</span><city><place><span>Detroit</span></place></city></font><span><font size="3">âs answer to Nevermind.â?. Broken Boy Soldiers does not match Nevermind on impact or tunes. That said, it is a stellar record, full of brilliant moments.<br/>Opener, and lead off single âSteady As She Goesâ? sets the tone for the rest of the record, as catchy as it is repetitive, and representative of the more upbeat pop of Benson than the dirty blues-rock of White. That said, the album does have a relatively diverse palette, with the atmospheric glam of âBroken Boy Soldierâ? colliding with summery strum of âYellow Sunâ?. Elsewhere, âCall It A Dayâ? is a moody rocker, vaguely menacing with its big chords and bleak lyrics (âI swear by this knife/ Itâs all by your designâ?) offset by creamy 70s style harmonies.<br/>âLevelâ? is a fine example of the collaborative power of the duo, a White Stripes style rocker with jaunty keyboards and ace duelling guitars, it is a highlight of the record. Thatâs not to say that itâs all down to Benson and White, kudos must be given to bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keller who make a damn fine rhythm section, particularly on the more complex pieces like âBlue Veinsâ?.<br/>Overall, Broken Boy Soldiers is a good record. The Raconteurs could well become even better than White and Bensonâs respective day jobs.â?</font></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3"><span>After saying hi and talking a bit of crap Dave tells some stories of his recent adventures and how this led to him finally becoming a man. There is the weekend away in </span><country-region><place><span>Wales</span></place></country-region><span> which led to him leaving his shoes behind and thenthere was the trip to </span><place><placename><span>Thorpe</span></placename><span> </span><placetype><span>Park</span></placetype></place><span>. <p class="MsoNormal"><span><font size="3">Song 2:- 13<sup>th</sup> Floor Elevators â I Had To Tell You</font></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3"><span>â</span><span>Though 13th Floor Elevator are one of the most respected and influential bands of the psychedelic era, most people wouldn't know these Texan acid-rock weirdos if a clearly deranged Roky Erickson showed up on their doorstep wielding a chainsaw. This Australian release seeks to change all that, though it doesn't cover all the bases quite as thoroughly as other recent offerings. </span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3"><span>A decent retrospective of the volatile group's short career, <i>Psych-Out</i> only tells part of the long and twisted tale that is leader Roky Erickson's life in music. &quot;Roller Coaster&quot; and &quot;Reverberations&quot; have been deep-fried in hellacious hot sauce, leaving only crispy remnants of what most people know as Southern rock. Near-hit &quot; You're Gonna Miss Me&quot; is here in all its splendiferous three-chord glory, and &quot;</span><place><placetype><span>Kingdom</span></placetype><span> of </span><placename><span>Heaven</span></placename></place><span>&quot; is anything but angelic, clattering around like an octogenarian who has lost his percodan and is angry as fuck to be missing <i>Diagnosis Murder</i>. </span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font size="3"><span>Perhaps if Shout Factory's recent Roky Erickson retrospective (<i>I Have Always Been Here Before</i>) hadn't been released, or there weren't already a myriad of collections/tribute albums glorifying these Texan garage mavens, this collection would be bloody essential. As it stands, though, <i>Psych-Out</i> only tells us what we already know: 13th Floor Elevators were ahead of their time, and deeply in need of a good bath and a psychologist.â?</span></font></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span><font size="3">Song 3:- A Camp â I Can Buy You</font></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span><font size="3">â<i>A Camp</i> is the sound of the Cardigans' Nina Persson getting back to her roots. When &quot;Lovefool&quot; catapulted the Cardigans into the major league courtesy of the <i><a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000026MQJ/203-3935320-2055169">Romeo + Juliet</a></i> soundtrack, the ensuing global pop fame threatened to implode the band. They responded by turning into a snarling rock beast with <i><a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00000DLVA/203-3935320-2055169">Gran Turismo</a></i>, but relations became further strained. What <i>A Camp</i> isn't, though, is a retread of early Cardigans. It's a mature, reflective album with lush country overtones that resound with a strident melancholy. Not surprising, perhaps, when </font><a href="http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/artist-search/Sparklehorse/203-3935320-2055169"><font size="3">Sparklehorse</font></a><font size="3"> leader Mark Linkous was at the production controls. Even with that influence behind her, <i>A Camp</i> is very much Persson's vehicle. It's the sound of a woman ditching the PVC trousers and blonde tresses for chic dresses and a black bob, leaving the small stuff behind and growing up. All told, it's an unexpectedly pleasing graduation, with honours.â?</font></span></p>

Tom Morello combines time-honoured metal-guitar riffs with sounds that suggest a hip-hop scratcher over a rhythm section that simply takes no prisoners. <p class="MsoNormal"></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span><font size="3">âTrent Reznor's brainchild, Nine Inch Nails, has had a lasting influence on the alternative rock scene ever since the band rocketed to critical acclaim with PRETTY HATE MACHINE. 1999's THE FRAGILE is a double-CD that boasts 23 tracks of pure energy and creativity. Reznor said of THE FRAGILE, &quot;I wanted to try new things, fully utilising the studio while putting more effort into melody and structure&quot;. From song one, it's clear that he's accomplished just this. Tracks like &quot;Intothe Void&quot; are replete with sounds and textures that no NIN album to this point contained.<br/>THE FRAGILE took more thantwo years to put together and includes songs bursting with melody and life. There are graceful and haunting tracks like&quot;La Mer&quot; and &quot; The Great Below&quot; and songs of despair and hopelessness like &quot;Somewhat Damaged&quot; and &quot; No You Don't&quot;. Other highlights include &quot;Starfuckers, Inc&quot;., &quot;Where Is Everybody&quot;, and &quot; The Day the World Went Away&quot;.â?</font></span></p>
