The ILP is back! Two months late but even after having everything stolen, we return. You will have to do much more to keep us awayâactually please don't, as it was really annoying and I'm not sure if I can do it again. We here at The ILP have decided to re-examine the output in order to determine that it was suitable and fit for broadcast. After long discussions we realised that the one thing lacking was alcohol at recordings and as a result all profanities are completely appropriate especially if used in a sexual manner. We are happy to say that this breach in confidence has been rectified. The ILP Show 55 is the result.

In reaction to recent events the public was in uproar as to where the bounds of taste and decency lie. For the ILP Show 46 Daveâs dream finally came true and he was surrounded by women in sharp contrast to the masculine show 45 we decided to have a girly show. This fits in well with our Musical themed show were everyone picked songs from our fave musicals including Jerry Springer the Opera, Trapped in the Closet and Jay Z. So yes tradition songs ;-)

With the onslaught of the girly show we talked about wedding dresses, presents for boyfriends and being staled on busses. Debbie tell us tales form Glastonbury and Jamie our Sports correspondent returns to tell us about Wimbledon. Nicola tells us how to make men lactate and learns what Metal, as in the music, is!

Tyler cancelled at the last minute so luckily Lili had already been booked to appear. Recorded outside on a beautiful summerâs eve the conservation was less beautiful. Back in the studio John, Dave, Tyler and Debbie are all back together for the first time since early March. Debbie tries to get a PR job promoting Girls Allowed and talks about her Camel Toe-which leads Dave to bring up ratemycameltoe.com We decided to join one of the circle line parties and give some dating survival tips. Tyler talks of Japan and John is a Trex, apparently. There is the usual correspondence and rant and we go off on one about how many countries Britain stole at one point.

Itâs all a little random this time which is why Iâm finding this difficult to write but th music rocks and along with an exclusive track written by Ross from Buttonhead, we play MGMT, Dizzie Rascal, The Stone Roses and one moreâ

Debbie returns from Morocco and Tyler checks out as The ILPâs carbon footprint grows even more but hath no fear that Tyler is not here as Shireen jetted in from Hong Kong and we persuaded Lili to come back and join us! So in the studio we dicused how John lost his phone to a dancing mugger, Debbie played with her panties, we talk about how pleased we were that a Muppet was voted in as Mayor for London and Lili suggests a method to avoid the ban of drinking on the tube. Dave tries to discover the meaning behind the chocolate labodor story and we end up talking about many different doodles and we return to advise from the book âGet over him, he just not that into youâ. And of course we have the Oracle live!

We also present our extra special cooking feature The ILP Cookoff or Fookoff! Tyler was pitted up against our new resident chef Susi to see who could cook up the best dish and win the support from our expert panal. Will Tyler repeat his previous menus of fun? Nicola hosts and throws in a surprise or two.

Show 41 is now ready for your listening pleasure and what a pleasure it was to make it too. Okay the hangovers that the Saung Song induced immediately after were not bur you canât have everything. Well Dave had returned from Asia with some ârumâ? silliness was induced. Tyler and John were joined by newcomer Lili, who fitted straight into the team, and Dan, who was quiet and looked a bit bewildered outside of the film section-but boy did he deliver.

It was a very, very hot and sunny early April so we went into the Garden to record and were joined by Helen and Steph make their debut on The ILP.

John and Doug were off in Europe so it left Debbie, Dave and Tyler who were joined by housemate to pick up the pieces. There was a BBQ in the garden which partly accounts for the noise and the rest is us harassing the neighbours-bless-who were put off by our ugly mugs and decided not to join us in the garden. We set up the competition to bring back fun stuff from abroad which will be revealed in Show 22. Send us an email with the answer BLUE before this Sunday to enter! You can win prizes!

Dave is also going on holiday and this is the build up to Boston and Chicago. We soon get back on to stealing and Tyler challenges Dave to bring back Bush (you can take that an way you like) before we enter the gentle territory of gun crime.

Tyler and Housemate tell us about how he queued for his PS3 and about his friends stag do that he went on and ate Â13 worth of KFC. It was a rocking bad time as you can tell. Afterwards they tell us how they ushered at the wedding. I have no idea whose stupid idea it was to give them that kind of responsibility and Tyler, who ran a quiz, yet again omitted the obvious instructions. However it was not all bad as Tyler managed to impress a girl and the groom with his dancingâ

Tyler then tells us a story about how a random dead couple were dug up and married-so much for death do us part?

We finally let Housemate choose his own song which is nice rather than going on a joint choice with Tyloid. He selected his brohers band form Manchester and this is quite a rocking funny song. Me likes and we may well be hearing more of this band if what is said it true!

So back to the science, Debbie still doesnât know that we are recording and we are joined by the lovely Alice. Without going into too much detail this experiment is slightly different as it is    Psychologmological. Housemate tested us all to see if we have a male or female brain and put us through four painstaking challenges. This was a cunning plan to make Dave look gayâbut hey you will have to wait for the results to find out what actually happened!

So we begin with the results and find out Housemate had given Tyler the wrong answer sheet but I wonât tell you anymore or there will eb no point in listening and for some the results are suprising-for others not so. Tyler also comes out with something that he might have been pondering for a while and revels that wanking is no longer the domain of men-deep man deep.

So Tyler and Debbie went speed dating-together but not together if you get what I mean. Tyler was thrust into the group whilst Debbie and her chum ended up drinking which might have affected her score. Yes she ticked everyone but she had some response. Tyler on the other hand, bless him didnât but he wanted me as a wing man. They had fun and suggest that everyone should try it so a big thumbs up then.

Not surprisingly Debbie was a bit worse for wear and she reveals why..yes she had been <a href="http://www.xfm.co.uk/home.asp">XFM</a> gig pig where thy sent her to 3 random gigs per night for a week. I joined her on the Friday for Frogs birthday and a secret Kooks gig-it was mighty fun and she tells us all about whats she been doing.

Tyler starts off on a positive by moaning that only four people are contacting us. He fails to mention that he has not been contacting anyone and has probably scared them all off. Fish gets a special mention and her art work rocks. We discuss the failure of our Gay Chat campaign-we thought it was funny but I think it really gave the wrong impression especially when we were trying to increase our audienceâour bad!

Then Tyler says that we had two more messages so was blatantly lying. There are then lotâs of jokes about Dave trying to get his penis enlarged.

Today was Housemates time to rant. He has been ripped off by a fucker! We really think that it was Tylers own fault for being a geek and therefore he didnât get a Christmas prezzie, bless! Eventually

he stopped ranting and we let James end the show as Tyler had gotten bored by that stage.

With Annie joining us in the studio and no one being hangover this was a much more upbeat than the usual show. John was sandwiched between Annie and Debbie 9what a waste) and Tyler between Dave and Doug. Dave tries to talk street, poshly, before Debbie insults half the SE Laundon population and we discuss Tylerâs heritage. We then move on to Kent and Maidstone Studiosâ

The porn bell returns as Annie rushes into telling us a story about porn-shock horror-Japanese anime porn or something. Doug seems to know far much more than he shouldâ

So then itâs time to cover what we have been up to for the past few weeks and Debbie tells us a story about how she went clubbing, got drunk and was dancing on her kitchen table at 6am Sunday morning. See things have changed so much. There is then a debate about sleeping in the bath and someone used to sleep in the bath as a child-yes we are contacting the authorities as I type.

Dave tries to justify his bad introductions but we blame Stuart for having a life-what a bastard!

Tyler has done some preparing and brought mystery ingredients to cook with-we chose four and selected, Orange Jelly, Coffee Beer, Cheese and Sausagesâ.we find out what he created in the forth link! Dougâs seven day challenge-well we got someone to do one of them.

Doug was challenged in the last show to eat noting that had been cooked for a week. This basically meant he was stuck with raw veg and fruit for a week. He did successfully complete the task mainly because the pizza he thought he had was lost soooooooooooooooo instead he was stuck with the veg. So yeah hear how he got along-but donât try this without professional help as Doug did. Yes he had Dave to point and laughâ

After having a quick chat with Annie, who is Johnâs housemate, in the pub about her implant in her arm Dave decided that it was imperative she came into The ILP to discuss it and it would also allow us to talk about contraception. You know creating a positive vibe for once. Annie basically has a contraceptive implant which means that she canât get knocked up for three whole years-donât have unprotected sex unless you trust your partner or whatever-and she talks us through some of the side effects.

Tyler then did some research and brings us some contraceptive tips form the past-again kids we donât really recommend them. However if you do wanna try them out let us know how they work!

If there is any resounding evidence that all night drinking sessions are not a good idea then this into is final proof! Late Friday evening John, Doug and Dave came up with a genius idea of putting the ILP into the film Aliens and with a Sunday recording date set all seemed fine. However, after a heavy weekend and a severe lack of ideas Dave pulled the plug 4 hours into the session after the bad ideas of having Britney hair attackingâ.alas we instead used us talking about porn and Tylerâs sister dating a porn director or somethingâwhy change a formula that works?

John chose this song and it was supposed to be a pop at several members of The ILP-alas the editing fucked up and Dave could not be arsed to sort it all out-shameâbut yeah they are a new up and coming band and you might have heard their song âIâve had the same jeans on for fours Days nowââ?. Well this song is nice and right so Iâm sure we will be hearing much more form this band.

We begin the link with a contingency plan, quite literally. Dave handed John the dictionary in order to provide us with some material and he read it for the rest of the link. We should really put this in perspective as Dave did 6 weeks sober (well sort of as he confesses) and this was all recorded on the morning after Daveâs retox partyâwith some hair of the dog for support so we are all feeling a tiny bit worse for wear! Tyler canât understand Daveâs second phase and Dave feels might proud of himself.

We then divert our attention back to the dictionary and look up the meaning of âpoofâ? and Debbie declares that they are making up words to keep people buying the dictionary-who said that we were not educational. And hey lets throw some dirty words and gay bashing in! Tyler moves on to explain about his wank in America before Debbie declares that she saw pussy last night-both drinks Iâm afraid. This all came about because we might well give examples of British slang.

Dougs seven day challenge-Itâs not really explained particularly well but to put it simply Doug is going to eat raw fruit and veg for a week to see if we can slim the fatty down ;-) Only joking Doug we love ya figure, but no seriously he is trying this out as we speak I hope and we will report back next time-see we did do something that we said that we would!

Science, science, science is golden! Yes indeed it is and Housemate returns for the first time in 2007 and his third and most explosive experiment so far! Yes this time we had to spend about 10 minutes hunting down the cat so we did not exploderise it. Hiding behind our specially designed shield, a piece of the broken fence that blew down in the wind, Dave and Housemate hid whilst Tyler lit the âexperimentâ?. This song is amazing. It shows what a good song writer Jack White actually is as demonstrated in the Raconteurs where he also shows that he can play. Shame that he had to drag his sister around for so long but-hey ho the crap drummer is gone. Anyways this is a deeply funky dark smooth version that seriously kicks ass. Unfortunately as the song is chosen by Tyler we know nothing about itâwe think that is the band name so get researching if you would like to find out more!

In yet another guest filled show Shireen calls us from Hong Kong to talk about Chinese New Year-however whilst we were waiting for her to call we talked some bollocks. Tyler then asks if one could inject men as a drug would you which receives a resounding yes form John and Debbie-Iâm not sure how we got on to this but I have a feeling that I had left the studio at that point.

Jamie is joined by Tyler for the first time in the studio whilst everyone else has fucked off for a fag and is sorting things out for later (you might well miss that as Tyler tryâs to not make a big deal about the whole thing). Jamie unsuccessfully tries to tempt Tyler into breaking the world record for the longest kiss-which Tyler claims is a load of old crap but at least this has a valentines edge to it. The shocking record is 31hours and 30 min completed during the July 7^th bombings-now that is dedication!

Tyler ten launches a new competition which no one will enter again-yes you get eh chance to name his foos ball players and win fuck all in the process other than the honour of naming a player-joy. Not that the rest of us are being cynical or anything-never ;-) However with it being Jamie everything gets related to Jurassic Park and this was the point that even I got lost and luckily the neighbours popped by (for Dougâs âpartyâ? to save the day and to stop them talking. You can hear how scared Jess and Lia get as they walk into a house where they know no one. This is because the others were out making sure that Doug got pissed.

Link four begins a tad differently form normal, after we have kicked everyone out and this podcast is seamless-yes John has some special messages from a special person. Dave is told that Housemate is not stalking him and Tyler is told to do the washing up. We then get the special guest on the phone for the very first time and he reveals Tylerâs tactics to playing poker-to be quite frank with Tylerâs skillâs his money is anyoneâs so we are not suggesting that he should be hitting the casino anytime soon!

It wouldnât be the forth link without the correspondence and Tyler recaps the highs and lows of the last couple of weeks of chat. All of us back together again and still no one seems to have a clue as to
what is going on. Gee whiz nothing changes! We discuss if contributes can
enter competitions and the answer is a resounding yes and then talk about
sticking stickers in places-that's fine too. It quickly turns to porn and

hypothetical. John was caught up in a massive fire at Whitechappel having
flaming till rolls come flying at his head but it soon turns out that he was

So eh yeah okayÃ?Âwell this show started off with a brad spanking new song written by Tyler who knocked out and recorded it in ten min. Originally 6 versus long we allowed him to record two and managed to squeeze in one during the editing process. Featuring James (Tylers Housemate) on guitar, check out link 3 for his ILP debut, the full song is now on the myspace page for all those kids who want to catch the whole dann thing. This was followed by a clip of another recording session that Dave did with Colin (his housemate of the time) where they cover Phil Collins and we think that it is better than the original. Okay perhaps not. Anyways the late night recording session will appear more in the outtakes showÃ?Â.ooooooo so think of it as a prelude. Anyway this is perhaps the most random introduction thus far but hey Stuart has taken over full duties of intros from now on and we feel that it is er representative of the show. Yasir talks about his (lack) of experiences with drugs, prostitutes and gay clubs in Amsterdam before revealing his common misconception with CokeÃ?Âwe shall leave that to you to work out. The three of them used to work in the GCSU as Dave went to the ex managers leaving party the night before and then Sarah and Yas talk about how they used to abuse the other staff as they were supervisers. This moves swiftly on to pest control in Sarahs house with cockroaches and mice. Sarah found one dead on her bed and Paul (her flatmate) had one crawling on his face-although we are dubious of the reasons as to why. Then there is the issuses of the glass in Emmas foot where Yas bravely took her to the hospital but not until after him and Sarah decided to play Doctors and caused her much more pain-bless! Hopefully they will be back very very soon!

â17 at the time of this release, Louisiana's teen dream Britney Spears works her guts out for every vowel and yearning growl on this impeccable slice of middle America. Partly produced from the same stable as the Backstreet Boys, Britney's songs have a strange, submissive twist: the full title of the mind-blowing debut single should be "Hit Me Baby One More Time." Obviously "Hit"'s got an okay slang meaning now but the song and much of the mood of this album strikes a direct line to the Ronette's "He Hit Me And It Felt Like A Kiss" in its desperate need to keep a boy by her side. Britney may be the young front for some middle-age money-makers but that's beside the point. She puts her life into this record; whether you like her teen pop or not, that dedication cannot be ignored.â?

Due to Amazon being shit and not deliverin the said soundtrack CD that I had ordered I decided to go with Show 3 introduction instead. The only problem being is that we hadnât explained it so the song is a tad random. It comes from a CD called âThe Amateur Transplantsâ? by a duo called âFitness to Practiceâ?. They are two doctors who are raising money for a good cause by selling their hailirious, although slightly wrong CD. You would have heard of them from âThe London Undergroundâ? song. Song 1:- The Raconteurs â Level

âWhen initial reports seeped out that Jack White and Brendan Benson were recording an album together, there followed some considerable buzz, the pair themselves even declaring it âDetroitâs answer to Nevermind.â?. Broken Boy Soldiers does not match Nevermind on impact or tunes. That said, it is a stellar record, full of brilliant moments.
Opener, and lead off single âSteady As She Goesâ? sets the tone for the rest of the record, as catchy as it is repetitive, and representative of the more upbeat pop of Benson than the dirty blues-rock of White. That said, the album does have a relatively diverse palette, with the atmospheric glam of âBroken Boy Soldierâ? colliding with summery strum of âYellow Sunâ?. Elsewhere, âCall It A Dayâ? is a moody rocker, vaguely menacing with its big chords and bleak lyrics (âI swear by this knife/ Itâs all by your designâ?) offset by creamy 70s style harmonies.
âLevelâ? is a fine example of the collaborative power of the duo, a White Stripes style rocker with jaunty keyboards and ace duelling guitars, it is a highlight of the record. Thatâs not to say that itâs all down to Benson and White, kudos must be given to bassist Jack Lawrence and drummer Patrick Keller who make a damn fine rhythm section, particularly on the more complex pieces like âBlue Veinsâ?.
Overall, Broken Boy Soldiers is a good record. The Raconteurs could well become even better than White and Bensonâs respective day jobs.â?

Song 2:- 13^th Floor Elevators â I Had To Tell You

âThough 13th Floor Elevator are one of the most respected and influential bands of the psychedelic era, most people wouldn't know these Texan acid-rock weirdos if a clearly deranged Roky Erickson showed up on their doorstep wielding a chainsaw. This Australian release seeks to change all that, though it doesn't cover all the bases quite as thoroughly as other recent offerings.

A decent retrospective of the volatile group's short career, Psych-Out only tells part of the long and twisted tale that is leader Roky Erickson's life in music. "Roller Coaster" and "Reverberations" have been deep-fried in hellacious hot sauce, leaving only crispy remnants of what most people know as Southern rock. Near-hit "You're Gonna Miss Me" is here in all its splendiferous three-chord glory, and "Kingdom of Heaven" is anything but angelic, clattering around like an octogenarian who has lost his percodan and is angry as fuck to be missing Diagnosis Murder.

Perhaps if Shout Factory's recent Roky Erickson retrospective (I Have Always Been Here Before) hadn't been released, or there weren't already a myriad of collections/tribute albums glorifying these Texan garage mavens, this collection would be bloody essential. As it stands, though, Psych-Out only tells us what we already know: 13th Floor Elevators were ahead of their time, and deeply in need of a good bath and a psychologist.â?

âA Camp is the sound of the Cardigans' Nina Persson getting back to her roots. When "Lovefool" catapulted the Cardigans into the major league courtesy of the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack, the ensuing global pop fame threatened to implode the band. They responded by turning into a snarling rock beast with Gran Turismo, but relations became further strained. In a period of rest and recuperation, Cardigans singer Nina Persson turned her nose up at that particular rock beast and went back to her bittersweet guitar beginnings. What A Camp isn't, though, is a retread of early Cardigans. It's a mature, reflective album with lush country overtones that resound with a strident melancholy. Not surprising, perhaps, when Sparklehorse leader Mark Linkous was at the production controls. Even with that influence behind her, A Camp is very much Persson's vehicle. It's the sound of a woman ditching the PVC trousers and blonde tresses for chic dresses and a black bob, leaving the small stuff behind and growing up. All told, it's an unexpectedly pleasing graduation, with honours.â?
